Now don’t get me incorrect. there may be a time and an area for recipes that take time. Recipes which are sluggish cooked and feature a lot of steps. I surely dream of days when I rise up past due, scurry across the residence and feature greater time to make everything from scratch.
Then I wake up and comprehend that i'm a operating mom who is trying to create a a success blog in her spare time. There are days when there isn’t time to get the laundry performed. forget home made bread for dinner.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pkg refrigerated crescent dough
- 4 oz. cream cheese {softened}
- 3 slices bacon {cooked and diced}
- 2 tbsp pickled jalapenos {diced}
- 1/4 cup cheddar cheese
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Remove crescent roll dough from package but do not unroll. Cut roll of dough into 12 equal slices {I used serrated knife}. Place slices about 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Press each slice into a round that is about 2” in diameter, making sure to keep a ridge around the outer edge {this will hold in the filling}.
- In a small bowl combine the cream cheese, bacon, jalapenos, cheddar cheese and garlic powder. Mix until everything is evenly distributed and divide the mixture between the 12 slices of dough {about 1 heaping teaspoon each}. Be sure to press and spread the mixture onto the dough and up to the outer edge {but not beyond}. OPTIONAL: Place 1 small pickled jalapeno slice on the top of each piece. Bake for 9-11 minutes {or until golden brown} and serve warm.
